Leaves surrounding the back patio area are saturated in color and making perfect abstracted landscapes.

Elk Island paintings

For the past two weeks I have been pleinair painting with other artists in the aspen parkland lakes just east of the city. The leaves are at their colorful best and the skies filled with snow geese, canada geese, and sandhill cranes. The light  and colors can be the most dramatic and saturated in the year.
